for Fun Holiday Gift Tags
Want to add that special touch to a package? Make a custom tag using white paper and a few other items.
Yes- it's fun and simple.
If you have a Cuttlebug (or other emboss/die cut machine) you should get the Z3344 Basic Tags Thin Cuts set that coordinates with the stamp set C1692 The Thought that Counts OR You can cut them out using a Cricut or other die cutting machine.
Here is a photo of the coordinating Thin Cuts set:
The 2nd largest die (2") is what cuts exactly the size of the outline shown in the C1692 The Thought that Counts stamp set.
Tags using the larger 2.5" die:
The inks I used are Cranberry, Fern and Glacier. I just hand drew around the edge of the tag using the Metallics Markers. After all- this is hand made- it isn't supposed to look like it came out of a printer. The trees are not lined up exactly straight from when I stamped that image twice- but that's ok. No one will notice. I used some scrap string out of my junk drawer. No frills. But you can be fancy and use the Z4014 White with Gold Twine - oh and the markers are Z1768 Metallics Markers (PS- I'll have a PDF at the end of this post you can download with all the items I am referring to, including the inks).
It all depends on the look you want. The header image shows using many colors of paper. They also used embossing powder to make the stamping POP.
Here are the 2" tags I did using the outline stamp images:
Super cute & so much fun to make. Adds a touch of whimsy to present wrapping and giving. Twenty minutes to make over a dozen tags. The metallic markers work great to write on the back who the present was for.
